Sustainable solutions for a growing community

The project in Moara, Suceava County, aimed to expand the drinking water network to meet the needs of a growing community. The investment was essential to ensure access to safe water and to modernize infrastructure, complying with environmental requirements and European standards.

The need
The customer requested a reliable solution based on high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes compatible with directional drilling installation. This method was necessary to avoid open trenching and reduce environmental impact while maintaining network efficiency and safety.

Challenges
The project was carried out in a busy urban area, where ground disturbance had to be kept to a minimum. In addition, solutions were needed that would help reduce CO₂ emissions and ensure long-term performance, given that the infrastructure was subject to the ever-increasing demands of the population.

Our involvement

TehnoWorld was the partner that delivered the complete solution, tailored to the technical requirements and conditions on the ground. We worked closely with the execution teams to ensure predictability, quality, and efficiency in implementation, while meeting the deadlines and standards imposed.

The solution

We supplied HDPE PE100 pipe with a diameter of 110 mm and a nominal pressure of PN10, ideal for installation using directional drilling. This solution reduced the number of machines required, lowered CO₂ emissions, and limited soil disturbance, contributing to a sustainable and efficient project.

The Moara project demonstrates how technology and expertise can transform challenges into sustainable solutions. The new drinking water network ensures safe consumption, protects the environment, and provides reliable infrastructure for a growing community.
